Language Exchange at KL KUMEN Activity

I am Japanese, but moved to Malaysia and working here now. This blog is for the people who want to enjoy in Malaysia.

Today, I want to introduce you about Language Exchange program at KL.

What is Language exchange?

Language Exchange is what you can learn language for free. 

We are living in 2019, so there are some way you can learn language for free like youtube or website. I actually learn English from youtube English Doraemon.

However, it is very important to talk to native (or native level) speaker.  

So, we have Language Exchange that allow you to talk and practice language with Native speaker. 

You will tell us what language you want to study, and your schedule, then we will much you with your teacher. 

Why is it for free?

Since it is volunteer for me, so i don't take any money from you. 

Then you have to pay 50 MYR/hour to your partner.

HOWEVER, since it is exchange,  you will teach your language to your partner. 

Then your partner has to pay 50MYR/hour to you.

It means you learn 1 hour from your teacher, and you will teach your language to your "teacher" for 1 hour, then you and your partner pay to each other.
So that, you don't need to pay. 

Where do we do Language exchange?

It depends on. 

We should discuss with you and your partner, could be food court, could be cafe, could be your house. Let's discuss after registration.

How can I register?

Just tell me you want to do it, I will send you the registration form(you need to put information like what language you can teach, or what language you want to learn). 

So fill up and send back to me.Then I will try to match you and your partner based on Registration form and your schedule.

Please put any language you can teach (even if you think demand is small. someone still may want to learn)

I will put my Whats app and LINE account information.

Caution!!

For language exchange, I don't want anyone to wait and waist their time. 

If you are late, your larning time will be short.

Then if you don't come, I won't match you with anyone again.

For Example,

If

1.Your partner and you have appointment on 9:00 AM to 11AM

2.Your partner are ready at 9:00 AM

3. You arrive 9:30. 

Then 

1.you will teach your language for 9:30-10:30 first.

2.You will learn 10:30:-11:00.

and if

1.Your partner and you have appointment on 9:00 AM to 11AM

2.Your partner are ready at 9:00 AM

3.However, you don't come.

Then 

No excuse, I'll be so sorry for your partner and promise that I will never let you attend to any KUMEN Activity

Even If you are late, you ask to your partner before, and your partner understands. Then your partner and you do Language exchange well, That's OK.

So, if you have emergency reason, tell to your partner as soon as possible. (your partner may understand you,if you tell truth, so DON'T say 5minutes for 1 hour)

Let's enjoy our language exchange and will get new language skill. 

Language exchange has advantage over self studying because

1. You can try to use Language and your partner will correct you instantly.  

2.not only your partner will teach you Language, but also your partner may become your friend, or tour guide when you visit their country?
